finishing things

Just one more sleeve to sew in and then the costumes are all done. Pics later tonight after the Things go Trick-or-Treating and to bed.....

1:30 UPDATE: Things are all done and I've already caught B trying to slip his on all by himself before it's time.

I guess they're excited!

So. Cute. And I'm guessing the full stereo effect will have my jaw hitting the floor. What lucky boys! What an amazing mom!

Posted by: allison at October 31, 2005 4:18 PM

Congratulations on finishing your boys' costumes! I saw that picture with such trepidation, thinking I was going to read a horror story about one of the boys ruining their costumes just hours before the fun :)

Posted by: Lily at October 31, 2005 4:28 PM

Wow, those are amazing!

Posted by: Reese at October 31, 2005 4:32 PM

Great job on the costumes! I thought you were going to buy blue wigs, but what was I thinking? *Of course* you'd knit them! They're terrific!

Posted by: MJ at October 31, 2005 5:33 PM

That's Thing 1 for you!

Posted by: nona at October 31, 2005 5:38 PM

Look at him doing such a good job of getting a sweater on by himself! And such an adorable sweater, at that. Can't wait to see Trick or Treating pictures.

Posted by: Kathy at October 31, 2005 7:40 PM

While taking my little cousins trick-or-treating I TOTALLY ran into two adult ladies dressed as Thing 1 and Thing 2! It was hilarious! My scarf didn't get done :( but it will be done for the premiere.

Next year I still want to do a nice costume, but maybe I"ll go as the scariest thing I can think of - Student Debt - .

I will reserve my final enthusiasm for the picture of the Things together. I have a vivid image already brewing: I trust they will fulfill.
Good Gracious, you are grand.

Very nice! I have been watching the progress on this and am excited you finished it just in time. They look great and it is from one of my favorite books. Kudos to you. :) Thing 2 looks a little worn out. Both of my kids looked that way too at the end of the night.

Squeeeee! Worth the wait. Thanks for getting those pix up tonight.

Second best costume that I saw tonight: two college guys in beach duds, carrying a fake bernie between then, Bernie's arms hooked over their shoulders.

(Weekend at Bernie's, in case you missed the reference - maybe you had to be there)

First best was political - I shan't taint your blog with politics. ;)
