go, elves, go

The day after Thanksgiving and you know what that means: time for the elves to get their little sock-knitting patooties in gear!

At last, the first of six pairs on the holiday knit list is on the needles.

And speaking of Christmas lists, the boys started making theirs when we went to FAO Schwarz this afternoon.

Judging from their reaction, what the boys would most like for Christmas is another taxi ride through Manhattan!

WOW! Those are some bright dpn's.
Looks like the boys had a great time.

Looks like a fun day. I miss the FAO Schwarz stores here (they closed most if not all of them). Love those bright green DPN's. Are they a readily available brand?

When my son was about four years old, I took him to Chicago to see Shedds Aquarium, and a couple of other cool places. All he could talk about, or remember were the yellow and checkered cabs (we live in a town where the taxis are fairly pedestrian), the double decker buses and airplanes. He could sit for hours and watch traffic.

Oh what our boys would give for a ride like that! They LOVED, and so did I, the bus rides in Mexico a couple weeks ago. Maybe we'll all have to pay a visit soon to their uncle (my brother) in NYC.

how cute. My son misses the London bus...so much so that when I take on a bus here he asks for the red bus, which is a bit of a problem...as our national bus company has decided to change thier color to green for earth friendly reasons.
see...http://www.egged.co.il he had a tantrum the last time I took on a green bus! I've been to NYC twice but still have not seen FOSchwarts.

Donna, the needles (they're my favorite dpns right now) are Comfort Zone needles. Each size is a different neon color and they just make me smile when I use them. They're a really bendy plastic too which is very comfortable to use.
