tuesday is knitalong day
Holy awesome sock knitting, batman - we're at over 80% done! That's a better finished percentage than in the last round and we're only one week past the deadline. AND that means that as many socks have already been knit this time around as in the first two sockapaloozas COMBINED. You people rock!
And hey, check the sidebar for sockers who have recently received their socks. Don't forget to update your info in the database, everyone! It's the official record of who's finished and when you sent your pal's socks and who's received socks. I'll replace the list in the sidebar each week with the names of folks reporting in that they've gotten their socks in the last week, so keep watching it to see when your pal gets yours!
Finishers!
Mary's group:
Jen's socks are done. She's put up a good post about some of the issues she faced as a beginner sock knitter.

Ina's group:
Meghan "unvented" her own lace sock pattern, see the socks and a detail.
Michelle finished luscious sherbet-colored socks with mirror-image cables and eye of partridge heels. Her pal would seem to be blogless, too, so she's anxious for feedback.

Mindy doesn't have photos either, but has sent out her socks.
Miss.Sarah finished on time and gave the socks a bath and a block.

KC is done and she received her swap socks as part of a great package from her pal.

sockapaloooza
Hi Alison,
I just wanted to tell you that your socks are on the way. I sent them off a week ago. So I'm a bit worried that they haven't arrived yet. But they have quite a long way to travel! They'll probably arrive this week - I hope!
Your Sock Pal
Alison, thank you for the sock exchange. I had such a great experience from knitting a different type of sock for a wonderful receipent to receiving a gorgeous pair for myself. Your hard work is appreciated. If you need more sock saviors, I would gladly help so that others have a great experience too. Thanks again!
All the beautiful socks! I can't wait to get mine.
Hi Alison,
Thank you for this sock exchange.
A few days ago I received my socks and they are just perfect:o). I have also edited my info then, but my name's not included in the list.
Did I do something wrong?
Thanks for hosting the swap! I've had a lot of fun designing my socks and having that deadline and reason really helped get them done.
I sent my socks off to my pal in Spain on April 20th and have not heard anything yet. I hope they arrived safely.
Sharon
You're on the list Myriam. The beginners are in a separate group. Scroll down a bit more and you'll see! :)
It was so much fun to hear that my sock pal had received her socks and they fit! That was the joy of this whole exchange--knitting socks for someone I don't know, and hearing that she loves them. I haven't received mine yet, but I know they will be here any day.
Alison, you are the best. Thank you for hosting this great sock exchange.
Thank you once again for hosting this Alison! It's my third time and every time it's been great! I've made new knitting friends and gotten some wonderful socks! You ROCK Alison!!! (and the tech guys too!)
I'm happily waiting for my new socks to arrive, but am THRILLED that my pal received hers. The best part is she likes them AND they fit =)
This was really *alot* of fun, and I want to thank my Sock Sister Lisa for her efforts and of course Alison for hosting such a monsterous exchange. Looking forward to the next round!!
I actually mailed mine, too, but I may not have let Mary know that. Pat K. received them and has modeled them on her blog!
So...
When does the next sockapalooooza begin?
... and when/where/how do we sign up?
e.
Oh my god!!! So many beautifull socks!!!
Is it possible to sign up soon??? I wish i could do that !!!!!
Krissztina
I haven't heard from my sockpal yet, I hope if she is running behind she will let me know. I am also running late finishing my socks and my sockpal is being very understanding! All the socks are beautiful, can't wait to see mine!
I got mine and my pal got hers!!
Hi, Alison. I got my socks but couldn't update with the link.
I did get my socks from my pal right away! They are great!
I received my socks from Nic, and because she has no blog I will make a picture of them and show them in my blog. She send me some lovely red Opal socks with a pattern from "knitting vintage socks. And I hope there comes another exchange so I can enjoy it again.
Greetings from the Netherlands Frea
