a capital trip

We're visiting friends in DC this weekend. And since one of the friends is la gringa tejadora, I think we might even squeeze in a mini-yarn crawl! For the boys though, the trip's already been a blast.

excited boys in their new booster seats on the way to the airport

boys watching "Little Einsteins" at the gate

the boys declaring the house to be "extremely nice"

And we're off to explore (DC Ducks, National Zoo, Air & Space, here we come!)....

What fun! I hope this part of the world treats you well. (If you're on Capitol Hill, which the house looks like it may be, you should pop over to Eastern Market tomorrow!)

Welcome to DC! I hope that you enjoy your visit. It's really a great place for kids to explore. The museum of American History was always a favorite of my girls and it's about to close for a 2 year renovation. See it if you can.

Welcome to DC! If you have specific yarn crawl plans, post or e-mail them and I'll see if I can join you!

It's also tax-free shopping weekend in Maryland (Saturday at least), but sadly I don't think it applies to yarn.

Have a great time.
I'll be looking for you from the bus stop across from the Washington Monument!! Say hi! :D

Have fun! The boys are so cute with their little matching crocs and coordinating shirts and everything. Twins must be great fun to dress. heh

I can just hear them saying it's an extremely nice place.... I'm sure with all the cultural diversity and great board games they are exposed to, etc, they have a great vocabulary!

The Children's Museum in DC is AWESOME! If you have time, it is a "don't miss" trip.

Aw, you're making me miss my old home!

It's scary that two of us recognized the house as being in Capitol Hill! It looks really similar to the house I grew up in! Have fun, and enjoy all those free museums!

Welcome to town! Definitely see the baby panda, although he isn't quite as wee anymore. Best time to hit the zoo is early in the morning before the crowds descend. The animals are most active then, too. As for yarn, Stitch DC has three locations, so wherever you are it should be somewhat nearby.... Have fun!

Tell me you're going to the Smithsonian, too! DC has such an incredible array of things to do and see. Have fun!

Don't you just love booster seats! They are so much easier then car seats. Have fun in DC, I lived there for seven years and I really miss it sometimes.

Oh man!!! can my son join? Pretty Please. Love the look of the house.
