After working hard all last week on design stuff, I treated myself to a little baby knitting. Nothing'll cheer you up like hugs and kisses.
I finished the new back and then took out few rows from the first back and added neck shaping to make it the front. And now that pink blobby thing is on the back.

hugs and kisses
It's a girl! Congratulations!! :) How wonderful that you will be able to experience being a mother to sons and a daughter! And knit cute, fancy, pink things, too!
Oh shoot, my sleepy, coffee-deprived mind just realized that we are waiting until THURSDAY, not TUESDAY to find out the gender. Ah well, scratch that last post! :)
Thanks Suzanne, but this is for a friend's baby. I've been working on this sweater for a month or so. I don't find out the sex of my baby until Thursday.
aaaah! cutest thing everrrr!!!!!
That hugs-and-kisses cable is so adorable I can hardly stand it. (What blobby thing?)
I've used that cable pattern myself in a single line, but it looks really effective when worked as an all-over motif.
Beautiful! Just love the x's and o's.
so cute!
2 more days... the suspense must be so intense!
WoW! Thta is the cutest baby sweater ever! What a lucky baby.
Thing One: It's GORGEOUS.
Thing Two: What blobby thing?
Thing Three: When I was pregnant, I was too busy throwing up to knit. I'm delighted that it isn't so for you!
I love, love, love that sweater. After I first saw it, I decided that I had to have the book & ordered it from Amazon UK. There is not a pattern in it that I wouldn't want to make - great book. Thanks so much for letting us know about it.
Adorable! I just love the pattern and the color is precious! Lucky baby girl!!! Now to wait two more days to find out if you're having a little girl!
Awww...that's just the sweetest little almost sweater!
Maybe working on the pink sweater somehow lead the cosmos to destine your new little one as a little girl . . . . . .
Usually I can work those blobby fuzz things back to the wrong side of the garment. I guess that didn't work for you--but your solution was smart, a classic Blue Blog solution!
That sweater is adorable. C'mon, you can whip one out in yellow before Thursday :-)
Hi, Lurking on your blog for a long time, and I really love the thing you make!
Maybe you will change the blogname in "the pink blog" in a few days :).

With all this buzz about finding out if it's a boy or a girl, I truly hope you *can* find out. Some babies don't cooperate, you know...
Very, very sweet sweater!
