Once I had those silly socks in my hot little hands, I couldn't wait to get started on the boys' stupid sock creatures. This book is so funny - it doesn't just say to cut, but instead instructs you to hack and slash with swashbuckling strokes.

LOVE the coulors of the sock monsters! So tempting!
Those are so cute!! My boys would love those! :)
They remind me inexplicably of kachina dolls. Argyle kachinas -- now that's multicultural.
Oh SO cute!! My boys would totally dig those. I'm doing sock monkeys for their stockings this year, but maybe next year - sock monsters!
I love that book. I pick it up everytime i see, but i haven't bought it yet.
Those sock creatures are going to be so awesome!!!
Ooh, I love the argyle! Nice!
I wish my kids liked fun stuff like sock dolls! Those are going to be so cute.
Those are great! I think I will make one for my (grown-up) brother for his birthday.
So cool! When you posted about the book at first, I couldn't help but think how rad argyles would be... can't wait to see your FO's! :)
i got crazy socks at trget and the dollar store to make some. i love the book too!
I wonder how my husband would feel if I raided his drawer for his argyle — which happen to be some of his favorites, LOL! These are adorable!
I love that book! esp. the whole thing about lips ;-)
Can't wait to see your finished creatures...
You rock!
That is so clever how they use the heels as the snout/mouth, and I love the little argyle ears!
Looking at the photo in the book I couldn't figure out how the sock monsters would come together with just two socks. Now that I see the pieces cut and placed together in your photo I understand. They are so cute that I wish I had thought of it!
Those are going to be so great! They already have character. Can't wait to see the finished product - especially the buck teeth!!
