sleeve hell is better than dead duck day

Even baby sweater sleeves can seem long. So, since I'm feeling generally crappy anyway, why not tackle baby sweater sleeve hell?!

I loooove how the color sequence came out on the sleeve and how it's just slightly off-set from the sequence on the front. Who would have thought that sleeve hell could cheer me up so much?

I'm awfully sorry that you're feeling generally crappy and need cheering up so much, especially at this time of year when good cheer is sort of a requirement. If you feel like saying why, my email is right there. Sometimes having the husband and the little kids for comfort just isn't the right medicine. And sometimes just keeping your mouth shut and forging ahead is the only way through. Whatever works for you - warm wishes from Rockport.

Thanks Mary. I'm trying to keep myself sane by squeezing in some of the knitting that makes me happy and enjoying the boys' enthusiasm for Christmas and the holidays. I'm trying.

I'm so sorry that you're still feeling surrounded by dead ducks, but glad that the boys and your knitting are bright spots. That sweater looks good enough to eat.

The sweater is lovely. I'm looking forward to seeing your finished product! And I'm sending sympathetic thoughts your way on the sleeves - I'm knitting the sleeves for my dad's Aran cardigan. I'm doing them both at the same time, so it's taking *forever*, but it has to end sometime, right?!

I love how kids really make the seasons brighter and this sweater is looking so yummy...it makes me smile just looking at it!

The sweater is just yummy - really looks good enough to eat. Hope you're soon feeling better.

For comfort, try looking at the beautiful sweater you're creating and think of the beautiful wee girl that will soon be wearing it. My sense is that your hormones are not being nice to you. I've never been pregnant, but have suffered from the nastiness of the hormones. Make sure you make lots of time for what makes you happy. If that's knitting (which it clearly is) let some of the other stuff slide. The boys and your hubby would much rather have you happy, than have other stuff done.

That sweater reminds me of candy!

It may have been the sleeve from hell, but it's one of the nicest baby sweaters I've seen for a while - the colours are just great, what every modern little babe needs :-)
