baby bottoms

Another thing I finished on the way to having a baby...

The drawstring pants from Last-Minute Knitted Gifts! I just love the color of the Knitpicks Shine - just like jeans, but oh so much softer. They were quick to knit up and someday I think I would like to make them with the denim, but for now I wanted soft, soft, soft for wee one. They're still way too big and long to try on her (and more importantly, wee one is still way too little to tolerate a try-on and photo session), but for now they look super cute sitting there waiting for her.

I love the edging on those pants, too cute. I'm expecting an order of Shine any day now... I can't wait. I think if I knit those up, I'm going to do the elastic band as well, it seems like it would be more comfortable than the draw string...

Those are really great! I have a lot of leftover Shine, and some stripey Shine pants would be a good way to use it up. Maybe I'll have to buy LMKG. Or check it out of the library. Every time I pick it up and look at it, it doesn't look worth buying (for my own purposes), but then people are always making nice things from it, so I reconsider!

I knit a cami/tank from Shine sport last summer - it's so nice to wear. As you've been knitting up these little pants for Wee One I've been thinking my two little ones would love to have some lounge pants like that! Or... maybe I would!

Yep, cute for the cutie!!

They're adorable.

Those are too cute! I remember many sweater-modeling and photo sessions with my little one, who is not so little anymore and won't sit still for much of anything these days.

They look like they'd go perfectly with the geek baby sweater -- too bad you had to give that away!

How cute! She'll look so baby chic in those pants!

Those are so great - I hadn't thought about this kind of yarn sub, but I do love Shine! :0)

Those are so cute. Can't wait for baby to model them.

so cute! I'm really liking the knitpicks shine. A lot. We know baby is fine and adorable, but how's Mom?

Thanks for reminding me of this pattern... it turned out so cute! I must get some Shine for the baby shower gifts I have coming up.

Can't wait for the knitted fashion plate that girl will be - but I can wait, I remember with my youngest, in the early days he wore the same shirt for days. As the third, the thrill of dress-up had faded - too many other things to do.

Awww... yay! I am loving all of the babies being born in the blogosphere at the beginning of Spring... I love new beginnings. I can't wait to see wee one in all of her knitty goodies... hope you are having such a wonderful time of your life!

Awww, I love the picot edging =) I'm sure they'll look very sweet when she's old enough for her first photo session!

Love the pants! And actually... I think your newborn will be far more agreeable to a modelling session than, say, my busy 13-month-olds (twins) and my newly recalcitrant 3-year-old. Can't wait to see Baby L all gussied up in those gorgeous knits! Model on -- when you find the time, of course.
