Okay, so I'll admit it, I haven't knit but for a few minutes since baby L arrived. There just hasn't been much time where I was both awake and had my hands free. But I'm hoping that this new arrival will help motivate me to find some time.

That's a tempting treasure box!
Can't wait to see what you will make out of the pink yarn. Congrats on the new baby, she looks so precious! :)
Ooooh Shelridge Farms yarn! Enjoy!
What beautiful, happy colors to have around with a new baby girl in the house.
Enjoy your knitting, and enjoy your baby!
How are the boys adapting?
So pretty! That pink is right up your alley... The woman who runs Sweet Sheep just visited my store recently, very cool :)
What amazing colors...hmmmm
You are amazing. Baby L is just a bit more than a week old and you're back to blogging. Plus you're ready to design and knit. Your energy is an inspiration.
Oh, I know that call... sometimes I just don't want to hear it, and other times, it's me who's calling the knitting but the yarn doesn't hear me (that's when I finish something and don't know what to start next).
Nice yarn box!
That yarn is soooo beautiful. Can't wait to see what you do with it.
oooh, I went nuts at the Shelridge Farms booth at Stitches West. I bought some lovely pinks too--can we say, "Candy Floss" ? Who can resist a color like that!
Oh, how I love yarn. Peeking into such a box instantly makes me wish I was at home instead of work. :) What is it you're going to make? (And btw, a friend and I are going to be shop-hopping this weekend... any awesome yarn shops in the Denver/Littleton area? I've been to a Knitted Piece in downtown Littleton, but that's it...)
Congrats again, Alison! I'm sure baby L will love all of her beautiful, soft things. :)
Ooh, that looks hard to resist...
Oh those pinks are gorgeous!
I'm looking forward to a photo of Baby L and the sweet little doll you made for her. (By the way, my older daughter's name is Lily - well, really Elinor, which we picked for several reasons, one of which was so we could call her Lily - and she has been extremely happy with that name. Don't know, of course, what YOUR "L" stands for. I'm guessing "Lickidysplit! Or "Lilliput." Or "Lillikapookiliana" or whatever the last queen of Hawaii was called. But not "Linoleum" a la Bert on Sesame Street - I hope you're familiar with that episode, or I'm going to feel very silly........)
Shelridge Farms wool is lovely, I was in their booth many times at Stitches West - they had the incomparable Lucy Neatby and I could not get enough. Looking forward to seeing what you create.
What she's like a week old and you don't have the knit with baby technique down yet :) Enjoy your moments as they come - what ever way they come. That box of yarn is tempting though. Can't wait to see what you do with it.
All my 3 children loved being carried in the Baby Bjorn. With my youngest I would often knit when she was in it and soon she got so used to it that she would only fall asleep when I was knitting. Hope you can get a lot of knitting done!
If you can find time to knit and care for yourself and a newborn, you deserve some sort of award! Or perhaps you have a calm, easy baby like my first daughter (who continues to be an amazingly accomodating child)? But my twins (now 13 months) resulted in a EIGHT-month bleak spell of no knitting whatsoever. Oh! The sacrifices we make for our children! (:
You, dear, are amazing. Having a baby, coming home, taking care of baby and boys, and ... and getting more yarn!!! I don't know how you do it. I would be tempted to hold sweet Baby L non-stop!!! Yeay for new baby and new yarn!
That yarn is postively yummy looking. The colors are so sweet, and the texture comes across in the photo beautifully.
Best,
firefly
That yarn looks good enough to eat! Like some yummy strawberry ice cream confection! I hope you are lucky in the baby napping department. My darling granddaughter who just turned 4 months has not slept much during the day. She has always slept pretty well at night but generally is up wanting to be held & entertained about 12 hours a day - nothing more than 5-10 minute cat naps (& it takes about 20 minutes to get her to sleep for those). I had a baby girl just like that (not the baby's momma - my other dd) & know how exhausting it is. So dd has gotten not a single stitch knit in 4 months! This week, sweetiepie took nice 2-3 hour naps twice. So we are all hoping this is a new pattern!
