Awww! She loves showing off those long fingers!

Posted by: Dava at April 4, 2007 8:51 AM

she's so cute! And I have a maybe silly quenstion, I see you use the word "Oma" for grandma, is oma maybe from the Netherlands (we call our granny's Oma) or is it also a common word in the US?

Posted by: Nynke at April 4, 2007 9:08 AM

so sweet. you can tell she sister to the boys!

Posted by: erin at April 4, 2007 9:08 AM

What a super model she is! Adorable (and the knits are cute too).

Posted by: Jennifer at April 4, 2007 9:11 AM

What a cutie! I love the last one where she is wearing an outfit her daddy wore. That's awesome!

Posted by: Michelle at April 4, 2007 9:12 AM

How darling!

Posted by: Sarah at April 4, 2007 9:31 AM

Such a sweetie ... boy, your kids look alike.

I love that picture of her doing what we call the "touchdown" pose.

Posted by: Ruth at April 4, 2007 9:41 AM

Yeah, Ruth, love that pose. We call it "superbaby"! ;0)

Posted by: ALISON at April 4, 2007 9:53 AM

Nynke, Daddy is German, so his parents are Oma and Opa.

Posted by: ALISON at April 4, 2007 10:05 AM

the baby is so cute loves all her different poses.I also grow up calling mygranparents oma and opa. she really looks like your boys which is nice being the fact that they are so cute

Posted by: lori at April 4, 2007 10:16 AM

what a lucky baby -- so many great handknits to start her life!

Posted by: Ann at April 4, 2007 10:32 AM

Beautiful Alison! The knits and the baby! :)

Posted by: Mel at April 4, 2007 10:37 AM

She is changing so much! Thanks for sharing.

Posted by: Angie at April 4, 2007 10:41 AM

Beautiful. I love that you're calling the grandparents Oma and Opa! And that through 35 years you managed to keep that little cardigan.

Posted by: Emily at April 4, 2007 10:49 AM

Ooh, ooh! In some photos, her eyes are open, and she's NOT crying! (We used to run to get the camera for our firstborn when that happened, falsely documenting a smiling, contented baby - it's better that way!)

Posted by: Mary K. in Rockport at April 4, 2007 10:51 AM

Awwww, she IS a supermodel!

Posted by: Julie at April 4, 2007 10:58 AM

What a sweetie!

Posted by: Lori at April 4, 2007 11:03 AM

かわいいですねえ!

(She's so cute!)

You've got the most gorgeous kids.

Posted by: Seanna Lea at April 4, 2007 11:06 AM

She's just beautiful. I especially love the picture of her sleeping in the bonnet - she looks like she's snuggled against the soft yarn :-)

Posted by: Kathy at April 4, 2007 11:19 AM

She's lovely! And I love that grossmutter sweater. It looks just like the lacy sweater coat in the winter Rebecca. I guess German knitters think alike!

Posted by: Dileri at April 4, 2007 11:28 AM

What can I saw but awwwwwwww. (Is the first sweater the February Baby Surprise from EZ?) She looks so adorable in everything. Not enough to make me want a fifth child, but good try!

My son has an Opa and Oma too. I have some of her knitting posted on a page at my blog.

Posted by: Beth in WI at April 4, 2007 11:50 AM

I love them when they're small enough to agree to play human barbie. She's very sweet -- and so are the knits!

Posted by: elizaboothy at April 4, 2007 12:03 PM

I love it when they are small enough to not complain about being dressed in various outfits. She is so darling--and the best dressed baby around!

Posted by: Katherine at April 4, 2007 1:16 PM

It's official. She's America's. Next. Top. Model.

And she's adorable in all her handknits! :-)

Posted by: Mary at April 4, 2007 1:40 PM

Awwwww

Posted by: Jen at April 4, 2007 2:35 PM

Awww every inch the supermodel :)

Posted by: Karoline at April 4, 2007 2:36 PM

looks like we have the same car seat, the blue checkered one...yay for import. see here: http://orlop.livejournal.com/108380.html
so a little German if you please Grossmutter is Grand mother or Great Grandmother ?

Posted by: Orli at April 4, 2007 2:58 PM

Awwwwwwwwww - love them all - especially the last one - such acute expression on her face!

Posted by: Donna at April 4, 2007 4:21 PM

You know she's a really cute baby when a bunch of knitters hardly even mention the hand knit sweaters!

Posted by: Donna at April 4, 2007 4:22 PM

My kids also wore knits that my mother made for the four of us and those are so special! Thanks for sharing.

Posted by: LeAnne at April 4, 2007 5:05 PM

Adorable! Hope she's letting you get some knitting in too!

Posted by: Carol at April 4, 2007 5:24 PM

Those pics are too cute! She could be a baby knitwear model...!!

Posted by: carrie at April 4, 2007 5:48 PM

Awwww!!!!!

Posted by: yuvee at April 4, 2007 8:21 PM

Such a darling!!!!

Posted by: Sheila at April 4, 2007 9:49 PM

awww, how sweet!

Posted by: Lesa at April 5, 2007 12:09 AM

What a beautiful little girl! She looks great in her handknits. I think she's a natural.

Posted by: carrie at April 5, 2007 6:06 AM

I'm generally a daily lurker of your site... never leaving a comment. But today I had to say something; Baby L is such a cutie. And you can definitely tell she and the boys are siblings. They all have that sweet little sweet and big eyes. Now for the knitting. Amazment! Can't wait to get your book. Have a wonderful knitterly day mommy of 3.

Posted by: Jennifer at April 5, 2007 7:40 AM

Kiss that baby for me! Makes me want to have another one!

Posted by: kelly at April 5, 2007 9:10 AM

in that second picture especially, she looks just like the boys!

my grankids call one set of their grandparents omah and opah.......they are south african, but the connection is chechozlovakia(sry about spelling) so it must be a european thing.
my family also has the long thin fingers.....comes from my hubby's side......is she any better in the day time Alison.....I can remember walking round with daughter 'draped' over my arm......as long as she could see what was going on she was happy!!!
