knitting along

And here's yet another project I've started (without finishing any of the previous projects, mind you). My Charmed Knits house hat (for the knitalong) is underway!

It's stalled here ready for it's gold stripes. It's been stuck at this point for three days, waiting for me to get a moment to wind the gold yarn. Ahhh, life with a newborn. And it doesn't help that the swift is in her room either!

Well, while I'm waiting for the opportune moment to wind my Gryffindor gold, I can show you two more sneak peeks at projects from the book!

It's a wizard hat, just like every student at Hogwarts wears! And to go with it, a wizard robe! Both are super easy to knit and look really authentic.

And do you see Errol up there? He's so fun. I can't wait to make one myself!

That's not a sneak peek, that's a sneak hide, LOL. (I'm probably too fast, but the pics don't show for me).

Need me to hold the little one while you wind your yarn?

Yeah, hold little one for a second will you so I can get those pictures uploaded! ;0)

Does the pattern for the robe go to adult sizes? I'm looking for a hoodie pattern and that looks like it would fit the bill. Please, please, don't tell me to do the math!

why don't yarn stores offer winding services?

Oh man, add me to the list of people who would like that robe as an adult sized cardie! Wow!

All your sneak peeks are making me excited to get your book! Can't wait for it to come out.

Allison--I can't wait to get your book--I have re-odered it from Borders.

On another note--I was on the knitsmith's website and I saw these cutle little dolls by Peta--any idea what pattern she used?

This book sounds like it will be a lot of fun. You're going to make a lot of people happy.
