moooooommmmm....

Hubby's been away for a few days, so it's been nothing but kids -- mooooooommmm, can you play a game with me --, pizza -- moooooooommmm, can you get me some more juice --, and legos -- moooooommmm, I can't find a piece -- for me and no knitting and no computer.

Wee one was a trooper, waiting while I made the boys' dinner or kept her at the playground for hours with them. Still a little voice in my head kept hearing, mooooooommm, when are you going to make me some larger baby bell bottoms? Okay, okay, the pattern with larger sizes is now ready! And I've got more Knitpicks Shine on the way for another baby bottoms pattern. Now I just need hubby home again so I can knit it!

How do you change their diapers when they're wearing those bottoms? Is it possible to put snap fasteners in them?

I hope hubby's not away long. It sounds like you need some me time.

Yeah, Anita, go for it! Instead of just seaming up the inside legs, you could put snaps along those edges. I personally don't mind just pulling off pants to change a diaper (especially as I only have one diaper to change these days and not two like I did with the boys!!), but snaps is a great idea!

Hope you get a break soon.

I don't know how you do it! Of course it helps when they're all so cute...

You have just recited a day in my life! This is why I've always been inspired by your blog -- you manage to get so much knitting done despite the kids. My kids (ages 4 & 5) still want me to push them on the swing or play a game WITH them, though I'm starting to see glimmers of them playing together upstairs while I knit happily away downstairs. Just a few more years...

Moooooooommmmmmmmmm - ah - the sweetest name on earth. Soon we'll all miss that sound when we no longer hear it thousands of time each day. Try to enjoy it while it lasts.

Those are the cutest little pants! Moooom is all I hear all day until my DH comes home.

Thanks so much for posting this -- I'm really excited to make them!!

It's amazing how you juggle everything and still manage to give an adorable pattern! Thank you for the additional sizes!

I hear you - just remember you're Wonder Woman and you can do it all (in a way a husband can't even begin to imagine!) I figured you were just too scared of the 400+ emails to even touch the computer... good to see you on Fri - am about to begin with the New Yarn. See you soon

i understand the "moooooooooooooooooom" thing. my boys are 12 1/2 and 14 1/2 and most of what i'm hearing is "moooooom, where's my favorite t-shirt" and "moooooom, where's the t-shirt i need to volunteer for the library?" and "mooooooooom, he's looking at me funny!" i used ot have a t-shirt from that show "dinosaurs" with the honeymooners-style dinosaur family. the baby who said "not the mama" alot? i had that t-shirt. i wish i had it again. i'd like to abdicate my position!

I think there was something in the air this weekend. I heard "mommy..." all weekend long myself....

When I was a kid we had a pair of dairy goats, which meant every year there was at least one baby kid (there was one year we had five - triplets and twins!) and you know what? Baby goats say it exactly the same way as kids do: "Muuuuuuuuuum". My mum was always complaining that there was no peace for her anywhere; in the house was two-legged kids whining "muuuuuuuuuum" and outside it was the four-legged ones making the same noise! Now I have two-legged kids of my own, and I know what she means.

Thank you for this great pattern. I made the original newborn size for my niece in Rowan's Calmer. They are now capris on her and she is ready for the next size -- so, you have perfect timing!

Heh. I know *exactly* what you mean! It's been like that at my place lately, too.

So HE"S the one who makes this blog possible. I had serious doubts about your validity. Sorry. NOw, I get it. I totally get it. Finally, a reason why you can do all these things with a nursing infant and twin boys. Phew. My self esteem was in the tanker for a long time there. thanks for coming clean!
