one sock waving

I finished the first waving lace sock! Whew, that was a lot of stitches. I'm not used to these tiny needles. I'm such a small needle wimp! But I really want to get these done in time, since these are actually socks for a pal who didn't get any in the last round and I don't want them to be late this time.

So last night, I really buckled down and finished the foot.

Ooooh, I like that lace. Here it is a little opened up with the help of one of the boys' whee-lo toys.

Off to start sock number two. I hope to make some real progress on it on the way to Webs this Sunday. See ya there - bring your socks!

Wow! You finished it last night? It looks great. I'm all ready for Webs on Sunday!!

Beautiful socks! That's a great pattern.

I may be weird, but I generally prefer the smaller needle projects. Worsted is as big as I'll go, but I love a size one project!

Lovely! I really like that sock and the color choice on the yarn!
I have some Louet Gems in blue that would like great in this pattern...thanks for the inspiration!
Incidentally, I saw Harry Potter last night and knit a house hat while watching...I can't wait to finish it up and send it off! Knitting it during the new movie has to add extra Harry mojo, right?

Hi Alison

Those are great socks, I love the colour.
My daughter and I finally got your Charmed knits from knit picks, and we love it. I am getting ready to cast on Errol. My daughter thought it was cool that you share the same name and way of spelling, as it is not commonly spelled that way in our area. :)
Have fun at Webs, wish I lived closer.

Very pretty! I just started sock #2 for my pal this morning.

hey you, I love the sock and the pattern. thinking of you as I knit invisibly a shawl and as I also saw HP this AM. So many knits for your NEXT book. i don't think I ever watched a movie before with an eye to knitted objects. kind of funny. i won't ruin the movie itself with any comments about scenes or things, except to say it was great!

Really gorgeous sock, your pal should really love 'em :-) The color is yummy, I can be a small needle wimp too, don't feel bad. Can you imagine having to do an afghan or something huge with tiny needles? My hands cramp just thinking about it, LOL :-)

Your socks look lovely. I'm sure the recipient will be very happy. Good luck at Webs!

Hee. When I saw the title of your post, for some reason this came to mind: "what is the sound of one sock clapping?" Nice sock. :)

Beautiful!
Oh, when are you going to see the film. I have tickets for the premier here in Copenhagen, but I just need to finish the cape and hat for my husband before going ;-)
