how can a baby shrug have so many ends?

Just the edging left. And all those ends!

Your wee one is a very lucky girl to have such a talented Mom. I agree with you about all those ends.

Oh wow. I really think weaving in the ends is my least favorite part of a project. I feel for you.

I made the Debbie Bliss baby shrug for Baby M when she went to a wedding in San Francisco with her parents in July. I think it may have had even more ends than that. It looked so cute on her esp with her little white eyelet dress but all those ends will discourage me from making another one when this one is too small.

So that's why I prefer circular knitting...
And for cardigans, I make fronts and back together.

Oh, you'll be done in a jiffy. And it will be cute!

I made One Skein (Leigh Radford) Baby Boleros for twins recently. I knit the front and back together, 3 needle bind-off at shoulders, picked up stitches at the shoulders and worked sleeves in the round, and still mad ends to weave it. Incredible!

Yes, Linda, they just seem to spring out of nowhere, don't they?! ;0)

That is absolutely precious. The color is also wonderful, but oh, those evil, evil ends. I had the same issue with the baby cardigan I made for my little one a couple of months ago.

I can't wait to see it modeled with the dress!! So sweet.

But they are so quick to knit! Maybe that helps to make up for the weaving in bits.

really pretty!

I absolutely love the decorative edging on the sleeves. And in the end it will be worth it, what a sweet little item.

I wish I had time to make stuff. The start of the school year and all those darn high stakes test to give. I love teaching, but it has it drawbacks.
