restricted entry

This appeared yesterday on the door to the boys' bedroom:

"Everybody and daddy can come in here only if you don't break my toys."

So cute how S thinks we go in there to break his toys. Or how he thinks that wee one, the only one who does go in and break his toys, could read that. Or how he thinks that daddy isn't a part of everybody.

(PS - I had to close comments on this entry early because it was being super spammed! Sorry.)

Cute. I have four sons, the youngest of which are twins. When the twins were starting to get bigger, my older two drew pictures of two babies and then put a circle around them and a line through it for "no babies" They were posted all over the house.

that is absolutely hilarious!! I remember when I was little, I put much more strenuous signs on my door - like "DO NOT ENTER - THIS MEANS YOU GRAMMA!!!!!"
hhahahaha

When my daughter was about four, she took a sharpie and wrote on my yarn bin a giant "NO" so her one-year-old brother wouldn't get into my things. I was touched, impressed at her writing, and highly amused that she thought he'd be able to read it. Still, I asked her not to write with a Sharpie on the furniture again.

I found a post-it note on the toilet yesterday morning that read (in the most indignant of lettering), "How come you plugged it and didn't tell anybody!"

One can only speculate.

That is so cute!!! I have a note from one of my twins that says "I love you Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Now take this to work with you." He is almost 35 now and I used to show him the note those periods when he did not love me every day. (I think it was from 1986 to 1990). Hee.

I found you through Quiet Life.

That is too cute. I love how daddy is his own entity, not a part of everybody. So funny.

A dog by the name of Atticus took up residence at our house. I found a note from one of the kids,
"Adikos is a good blind dog. I closed my eyes and he followed me."

That is so cute! I love the oh so polite & reasonable tone! Also love every one's anecdotes.

That's great!! I'm sure my 3 year old will have a sign hanging once he knows how to write. We have a 4 month old who already likes to bug big brother!! SCARY.

A classic door sign. Ask me how I know.
