a fitting
I'm halfway done with stockie, um, I mean smockie (from the second little Sublime handknit book - free pattern here). Be warned, that's a lot of stockinette there folks!

about 3 seconds later
I'm making the 1-2 year size because my wee one is a big one-year old. After I finished the back and held it up to her, I saw that there was plenty of length in the skirt, so I decided to rip out the garter stitch bodice section and shorten it for a little more of an empire waist shape. Trust me, it'll look better on my babe.
And a little try-on...

Oooooo, so cute!

a wardrobe for wee one
That is so cute! I need to make one for my little girl. I keep thinking, couldn't that easily be done in the round?
Oh yeah, Sally, for sure. That always occurs to me after I've completed one half of the thing!! ;0)
Actually with this one, I knew I didn't have enough of the yarn and would have to buy more, most likely in a different dye lot since I bought the yarn a while ago, so I decided it would be best to have one dye lot on the front and one dye lot on the back to keep it from being obvious. Fingers crossed that the two dye lots are close enough!
That's adorable! She'll be able to wear that for ages and ages--it will be such a cute tunic as she gets taller. Such a pretty color, too.
Very, very cute. I can't wait to get pregnant again. :)
So cute! I think I have the yarn to make one but now I think I'll wait because of all the stockinette. I'm making a sweater for my husband and that thing is A LOT of stockinette. I think I'll need a break. Or maybe I'll add a pattern to smockie.
Awww. That purple is just perfect on her!
Her shoes match!
Love that pic from the back!!!
Its adorable. I love the color.
You're right, Anita! The little robeez-style shoes are from kaya's kloset.
