three years

This weekend, wee turned three! I can't believe it, but there is no denying that this is the face of a three year-old.

Also unbelievable is that fact that I've had this stripy raglan sweater on the needles for wee's entire life, but it is still not finished.

It's as close as can be though, with just the neck to finish. I ran into some sizing issues while I was doing the neck shaping (considering I cast on for a one year size, but am knitting to a four year length, I'm amazed I only ran into problems here at the end) and tested wee's three year-old patience quite a bit with multiple try-ons and adjustments. But it's all good now and the only thing keeping wee from her new sweater is about 75 ends that still need to be woven in and the unseasonably warm spring-like weather we're having. But both those will be taken care of soon enough, I'm sure.

Until then, she's loving being three.

Three: old enough to pick out your own outfit (American Girl shirt and twirly skirt), but still young enough to play with dolly (see her on the floor there?). And the perfect age to dance, dance, dance.

Happy Birthday Wee One!! You are so pretty and girly in your twirly skirt. Be happy and keep dancing.

And yes, that is definitely the face of a three year-old.

Oh, I love that three-year-old face! And who wouldn't love the swirly skirt? My own Wee bought a twirly dress at a garage sale for twenty-five cents when she was three and wore it to kindergarten! Tiny girl, big determination.

She's a doll.

She is so darn cute! Part of me can't believe that she is 3 already!

Is that a Party Favors cake? I bet it is. I miss Party Favors!

Happy Birthday, wee!

Those three years went by way too fast! It seems like just yesterday you were posting "before" pictures and now here she is already three years old! Happy Birthday, wee one!

You have shared a joy and a blessing with us. My wee one is (very) seventeen and barely remembers the days of cuddle and run.

Happy Birthday, Wee! My granddaughter turned 3 in mid November & (as my other daughter [her aunt] & I were discussing just the other day) the change in her facial appearance just since her birthday is amazing. In the fall she still had that baby roundness to her face & now it is gone - her face has slimmed down & she looks so much more like a child rather than a toddler (even though she's still tiny - about 36" tall & about 23 lb.) Hope Wee enjoyed her party. Love that dress she is wearing.

Ack! The cuteness in that second picture is just too much! Happy Birthday Wee One!

Happy, happy birthday, Wee One! I hope the whole family is enjoying the milestone. Isn't it amazing how time flies?

Happy Birthday to Wee One! Where has the time gone? Call me crazy (and you wouldn't be the first) but I kind of get a kick out of weaving in ends. In fact, the more the better. I think it has to do with it being near the end of the project. Then I kind of like making the ends looks neat. I know... it's a sickness.
