As I was working on my sock pal's embossed leaves socks, I kept picturing a lovely embossed leaves hat for wee one. I decided to try to make a baby bonnet with the same pattern in some Jaeger Trinity from my stash. I knit the hat from the top down, just like the embossed leaves socks so the leaf pattern has the same direction. Then the top ribbing is cinched in, pulling the leaf stems together bouquet-style into a tidy bundle. I also added little picots to the bind off edge to accent the leaf motif.
