I was disappointed when I first saw the latest Rowan mag - so many frilly, fancy, impractical knits - but then we got a sample of Martin Storey's crinkle cardi at the store. I tried it on and immediately fell for it! I picked the same yarn, same color, and started knitting right away. I really enjoyed the lace pattern and even the picot edging wasn't as bad as I had imagined. I found the perfect ribbon for it at Paper Source. So, we may not have ever gotten spring here in Boston, but now I've got a perfect spring cardi!
