I love Rowan Denim! This jacket is modelled after a Phildar pattern in their Layette Automne/Hiver 02/03 magazine. The original pattern called for a different yarn, all sorts of different colors and garter stitch stripes, but I chose to simplify the design in the denim. The dark blue has faded just so after washing that the lighter flecks match the light denim stripes perfectly. I also lengthened the pattern to account for the way the denim shrinks. A successful experiment - hooray!
