I found this awesome retro-colored acrylic yarn in a bag labelled "giant white bread" at a recent Knitsmiths yarn swap. There wasn't much of it, so I knew I had to make something stripy. The striped short-sleeved sweater from Vintage Knits (by Sarah Dallas) seemed like the perfect pattern. I picked up some retro green Classic Elite Bazic wool for the mini-stripes and the back, readjusted the pattern for my gauge, and added tubular cast on and bind offs at the edges. She's mostly acrylic and scratchy as all get out, but she's so fun to wear, who cares?!
