I got some white mystery yarn at the Knitsmiths' latest yarn swap and couldn't wait to try out some Kool-Aid dyeing with the kids. They helped me dye the yarn to match their winter jackets and then I said I'd make hats for them with it. It took a few tries to get the colors right, but we got lucky and ended up with great looking colors. I added a few stripes and a lining (still to come) and we got homemade custom hats! They love them and wear them all the time now.
