Jared Flood's hemlock ring blanket, knit in a smaller gauge to make a baby blanket for Shannon's new little one. I used Classic Elite's Classic Silk yarn since Shannon's allergic to wool and I thought it best to choose a cotton blend for the baby. It has the same rustic sort of tweedy look as the Cascade eco wool that the hemlock ring pattern calls for, but is really soft. Don't you just love soft tweed?! I enjoyed this pattern very much and although the blanket won't ever lie completely flat, I think the baby will enjoy it too.
