A cloth book for Shannon's baby on the way. When I found this fabric panel of her favorite children's story, I knew I had to turn it into a little cloth book for a baby shower gift. I found fun, pretty fabrics (from P&B Fabric's Pop Parade line) to girl it up a little and a beautiful blue pindot (from Michael Miller Fabrics) to dress up the original basic blue check background. I sewed up the pictures and text like standard quilt blocks then rearranged them into book page groupings and ended up having to hand-stitch the book together since the twenty pages (5 paired front & back, each with batting) were too big to fit under my machine's presser foot. How could I give up though: "I think I can, I think I can..." It came out awesome!
