After wee one was born, I started knitting a denim pinafore dress for her just like the one I made for a friend's baby girl in 2005. I waited to finish it until warmer weather arrived and then discovered that the snug a-line shape of the dress just wasn't going to look good on my big girl! I happened to see Sublime's new Soya Cotton book and thought that the little red smock cardigan would be perfect for her. I unravelled the half-knit pinafore and whipped up the smock cardi in a couple of weeks. The bell sleeves are fabulous, although the sleeve caps were a little on the small side and took some work to get into the armholes! The result is awesome though. I'm thinking of making one just like it in my size!
